  • Our check-in starts at 4:00pm and check-out is at 11:00am.

  • We have ample on-site, outdoor, self-parking for $50 per night per vehicle. In and out privileges are included. Price does not include taxes and fees.

  • At the Oakes Hotel we strive to have rooms to suit any budget. Look for our “Falls View” rooms if you want the best, completely unobstructed view of Niagara Falls available! Our River View rooms are on the Falls-facing side of the hotel, but have limited views of Niagara Falls, the Niagara river, and the Niagara Escarpment.

  • We have an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna, a Falls observation deck on the 14th floor (free for all hotel guests), and a complimentary coffee bar in our lobby.

  • Absolutely! We’re located right next door to the Casino; less than a 5-minute walk from our lobby to the Casino front door.

Mandatory Taxes and Fees

HST and Daily Mandatory Hotel Levy will be applied to all goods and services purchased through The Oakes Hotel, and every room will have a resort fee and nightly municipal accommodation tax applied for your hotel stay.

  • Where noted, the Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) of 4% + HST per night for all hotel rooms, based on the room rate. The MAT is a provincially legislated and municipally mandated tax that is collected by the City of Niagara Falls. The purpose of the MAT is to support and grow the tourism industry in the City of Niagara Falls and to improve the City's livability for its residents.

  • Effective July 1, 2010 the Ontario Retail Sales Tax (PST) was replaced with a value added tax (OVAT) and combined with the federal goods and services tax (GST) to create a federally administered harmonized sales tax (HST). This new Ontario HST will be encompassing a provincial component (OVAT) at 8% and a federal component (GST) at 5%, for a combined HST rate of 13%.

  • The $14.95 per room Resort Fee includes year-round benefits and services to each registered Hotel guest. The Resort Fee includes:

    • High speed wireless internet in guest rooms and public spaces

    • Daily newspapers located in the lobby

    • 24-hour self-serve coffee and tea in the lobby

    • Access to indoor pool and hot tub

    • Access to fitness room

    • Pool towel service

    • Calls within Canada from your room

  • The Daily Hotel Levy (DHL) is used to supplement a multitude of costs associated with the property, including but not limited to: development, infrastructure, and strategic planning. Funds collected may be used for hotel maintenance, health and safety resources and green initiatives.

    Furthermore, a portion of this fee is used to offset a levy for the Fallsview BIA. Among other things, the Fallsview BIA is responsible for: street-scaping, public space beautification, communication infrastructure, site development, community planning, and convention centre funding.

    It is at the sole discretion of each hotel to apply such a fee.
